Atlantis The Royal Review: A Birthday Stay That Was Pure Luxury

We stayed at Atlantis The Royal in Dubai for my partner’s birthday and honestly… it’s on another level.

This hotel is luxury in the boldest way possible modern, glamorous, high-energy and completely unapologetic.

If you love five-star stays that feel iconic, indulgent and unforgettable, Atlantis The Royal absolutely delivers in every single way

First Impressions – Big, Bold, Dubai Luxury driving up it the hotel alone is just an experience

Atlantis The Royal is huge, impressive and instantly makes you feel like you’re somewhere special.

From the moment you arrive, everything feels elevated the design, the scale, the service.

It’s modern luxury done properly, and very much a Dubai-style experience.

We had an ocean sea view room, which was stunning. Waking up to the sea, the skyline and that sense of space was just unreal, it really was breathtaking and we could see the fountains show from our balcony which is worth watching.

Even the tooth brushes were gold, they had lots of little touches which just made the stay feel extra special. It was my partners birthday and they bought him a big chocolate cake to the room and made it very special

The Room Ocean Views & Total Comfort

Our room was beautiful spacious, sleek and incredibly comfortable.

The ocean view really made it for me, but I am obsessed with the ocean for some reason it just makes me so happy, sitting in the room looking out at the sea, especially in the mornings, felt very luxe and very relaxing considering how lively the hotel is overall.

Everything felt high-end, polished and exactly what you’d expect from a hotel like this.

The Gym – One of the Best I’ve Seen in a Hotel

The gym deserves its own mention because it was incredible.

Huge space, amazing equipment, and very well designed, and they had classes you can join and electrolytes and pre workout for you

The only thing we couldn’t use was the spa it was under renovation.

Easily one of the best hotel gyms I’ve used perfect if you like to keep your routine even while travelling

Food & Dining – Michelin Star & Next-Level Experiences

We ate at the Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, and it was absolutely unreal

The food, the experience, the service everything was spot on. It’s refined, creative and genuinely memorable.

One of those meals you talk about long after you’ve left.

We also spent time at the Nobu Beach Club, which was such a vibe.

Great atmosphere, amazing food and that effortless Nobu energy. Having access to this as part of the hotel stay is a big plus.

Breakfast – The Best Buffet Breakfast I’ve Ever Had

I don’t say this lightly this is the best buffet breakfast I’ve ever experienced and it’s one you need to experience because you will not forget it

The choice is insane.

Every type of cuisine you could imagine, beautifully done, high quality and endless options.

You could eat something different every morning and never repeat it.

If you love a proper luxury hotel breakfast, this one is worldclass.

Pools, Waterparks & Full Access

One of the best parts of staying at Atlantis The Royal is the full access to the waterparks and they are amazing.

So many rides, so much fun, and really well done.

It adds such a playful element to the stay and makes it perfect for couples, groups or even longer trips where you want more than just lounging.

Cloud 22 – Iconic, Glam & Definitely a Moment

We also went to Cloud 22, which is stunning.

It’s very glam, very Instagram-worthy, and yes very expensive.

The space is styled in collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana Casa, which explains the ultra-luxury aesthetic.

It’s worth doing at least once for the experience and views, even if it’s not somewhere you’d spend all day.

Shopping, Shisha & Those Little Extras

There are luxury stores inside the hotel, which we loved. We had a wander and my partner treated me to some earrings, which made the trip feel even more special.

We also had shisha downstairs, which was amazing great atmosphere, very relaxed, and a lovely way to end the evenings.

Is Atlantis The Royal Worth It?

Atlantis The Royal is expensive but it’s an experience.

You’re paying for:

• Iconic Dubai luxury

• Incredible dining (including Michelin star)

• The best hotel breakfast

• Amazing gym and facilities

• Beach clubs, pools and waterparks

• Shopping, shisha and nightlife all in one place

For birthdays, celebrations or a statement Dubai trip, it’s 100% worth it.

Final Thoughts

Atlantis The Royal is bold, luxurious and unforgettable.

If you love high-end hotels, amazing food, big experiences and a proper Dubai vibe, this is one you need to experience at least once.

I’d absolutely go back.
